Massage means something different to everyone. Clients tend to rely on techniques to explain what they're looking for: Swedish for relaxation, Deep Tissue for pain relief, etc. I try to avoid talking tactics and instead choose to focus on client preferences and tissue response to determine the most effective way to meet the end goal. I do have a few core techniques that I rely on in my practice, which I provide below in order to provide some insight to how I work.
One of the most important lessons I have learned in my 11 years of practice is that my hands aren't nearly as important as my eyes and ears. I make my client, not my experience, the center of my work. I interpret muscles and soft tissues, but I also interpret emotions and responses in order to best determine how to work with my client. I also strongly encourage my clients to be open and honest with me. I know a lot of stuff and have many success stories, but I will never know as much about my client's body as they do.

I have always been drawn to touch. As a little girl my parents used to request scalp and back massages and I would gladly get lost in my own world as I kneaded away with my little fingers. I have an Associates Degree in Applied Science for Massage and am also Board Certified. I have received training in dozens of techniques and have given over 6,000 massages in my professional career. The key to my success isn't my knowledge and training, it's the connection to my clients. I have a passion for understanding what makes people tick so that I can build on my skills to provide the best experience possible.
